遠目では一見無地に見える控えめな織物ですが、部分部分に伝統的な霞文様（かすみもんよう）を細かな織で表現してあります。柄に込められた意味は、「霞が消えては現れる様子、どこまでも遠くへ続くように見えることから「永遠や繁栄の願い」が込められています。
